Youth in the church
Most of the time, people use the word ‘teenagers’ when referring to the youth. The United Nations, defines ‘youth’, as those persons between the ages of 15 and 24 years.
According to a PEW study, there are two major factors that affect a youth’s involvement in their church:
1. The quality or depth of their youth ministry
2. The lack of parental modelling of faith in the home
The spirit of the world is strong and many young people are struggling with their flesh and coming to a place of separation. They are caught up in the world and everything is drawing them away from the church
The Christian youth face many different challenges, so how can a young person find their place in the church? How will they know where and how to serve?
