Pornography is sexually explicit videos, photographs, writings, or the like, whose purpose is to elicit sexual arousal.
The Internet pornography industry generates $2.5 billion dollars in annual revenue. The amount of pornographic material available on the web is staggering.
Today, children are being sexualised earlier and earlier, in part because they are exposed to sexual material in movies, television, music and other media earlier than ever.
Research studies, primarily by the Barna Group and Covenant Eyes, reveal that:
– 57% of pastors and 64% of youth pastors admit they have struggled with porn, either currently or in the past.
– 41% of practicing christian males and 13% of females ages 13-24 are actively seeking porn at least once or twice a month.
